'Legion' TV Series To Be Set In Fox's X-Men Cinematic Universe

Now this is some really cool and surprising news.

It now appears that FX's new X-Men series Legion starring Dan Stevens as David Haller aka Legion aka Professor X's estranged son in the comics will be part of the overall Cinematic X-Men universe.

This is according to director Bryan Singer (X-Men: Apocalypse) who is an executive producer on the highly anticipated new series, and spoke a little about the connection during an interview at the Edinburgh Television Festival.

Here's what Bryan Singer said:

"[Legion is] part of the X-Men universe, but when you watched it, you wouldn’t have to label it, it could exist completely on its own. [It] will relate to future X-Men movies.”

Legion is set to premiere on FX in Spring 2017.
