Warner Bros. has just released the brand new IMAX trailer for their upcoming Clint Eastwood directed true-life drama Sully. The film is based on the events surrounding Chelsey "Sully" Sullenberger who was the pilot who saved the lives of 155 people by landing a plane on the Hudson river after some kind of accident on board. Tom Hanks stars the titular character along with Aaron Eckhart as the co-pilot. The trailer doesn't reveal anything really new and at this point I'm sold either way. The reason to see this film, is the fact that it has two legends Clint Eastwood and Tom Hanks teaming up for the first time in their careers ever!
Check out the trailer below and sound off in the comments section with your thoughts. As always thanks for stopping by EastCoastMovieGuys!
Here’s the official synopsis for Sully:
On January 15, 2009, the world witnessed the “Miracle on the Hudson” when Captain “Sully” Sullenberger glided his disabled plane onto the frigid waters of the Hudson River, saving the lives of all 155 aboard. However, even as Sully was being heralded by the public and the media for his unprecedented feat of aviation skill, an investigation was unfolding that threatened to destroy his reputation and his career.
Sully is set to hit theaters on September 9th.
