New Photos From 'The Dark Tower'; Is The Film A Sequel To The Books?

By Matt O.

Hello all you Stephen King fans, welcome back to the amazing world of The Dark Tower adaptation or should I say sequel? Apparently the word is out and the highly anticipated big screen adaptation of the beloved Stephen King classic is actually going to be a sequel.

This is according to CBM who is saying this:

"Idris Elba's Roland Deschain does indeed have the Horn of Eld. You can see that concealed within his gunna bag and fans of the books will know just how significant its presence is. Check out the image below:

The final volume of The Dark Tower series revealed that Roland has reached the Tower almost countless times (which he has no memories of), but is forced to relive that journey until he gets it right. On the last loop, his love for his ka-tet redeemed him in the eyes of the Tower and he was rewarded with the Horn of Eld, an artefact from Gilead it's thought will allow him to finally end his quest."

Since I'm not the biggest follower of the Dark Tower books I had to do some research and this appears to be correct.

Sounds pretty interesting to me and anything with Idris Elba I'm stoked for! So what about you guys? Sound off in the comments section below with your thoughts on the upcoming adaptation.

The Dark Tower is set to hit theaters on February 17th, 2017.
