New 'The Girl On The Train' Trailer Dives Deeper Into The Mystery

Universal Pictures has just released a brand new trailer for the upcoming crime thriller The Girl on the Train. The film is an adaptation of the beloved novel and is directed by Tate Taylor who helmed The Help a few years back. For someone who never read the book the film looks really good and has the same overall feel as the incredible David Fincher film Gone Girl.

The film also packs a stellar cast Emily Blunt, Allison Janney, Rebecca Ferguson, Justin Theroux,Luke Evans, Hayley Bennett, Edgar Ramirez, and Lisa Kudrow.

Here’s the official synopsis for The Girl on the Train:

"In the thriller, Rachel (Blunt), who is devastated by her recent divorce, spends her daily commute fantasizing about the seemingly perfect couple who live in a house that her train passes every day, until one morning she sees something shocking happen there and becomes entangled in the mystery that unfolds."

The Girl on the Train is set to hit theaters on October 7.
