By Matt O.

CBS Films has just released another badass trailer for director David Mackenzie's incredible looking film the throwback 90s style action thriller Hell or High Water starring the always incredible Ben Foster and Chris Pine who is also starting to prove himself to be much more than just a cool Captain Kirk. The two guys play brothers who team up to rob some banks, while being tracked down by the local sheriff played by the legendary Jeff Bridges. The film is written by Sicario scribe Taylor and also stars Dale Dickey, Gil Birmingham, Katy Mixon, and Kevin Rankin. I've said it before and I'll say it again, you put Ben Foster in a film I'm there, you put Ben Foster in a starring role in said film, you've got acting gold and a potential instant classic on your hands. The guy is just incredible and if you don't believe me check out some of his films, you won't be disappointed! For now check out the trailer below and then sound off in the comments section with your thoughts on the upcoming film.

Here’s the official synopsis for Hell or High Water:

"A story about the collision of the Old and New West, two brothers — Toby (Chris Pine), a straight-living, divorced father trying to make a better life for his son; and Tanner (Ben Foster), a short-tempered ex-con with a loose trigger finger — come together to rob branch after branch of the bank that is foreclosing on their family land. The hold-ups are part of a last-ditch scheme to take back a future that powerful forces beyond their control have stolen from under their feet. Vengeance seems to be theirs until they find themselves in the crosshairs of a relentless, foul-mouthed Texas Ranger (Jeff Bridges) looking for one last triumph on the eve of his retirement. As the brothers plot a final bank heist to complete their plan, a showdown looms at the crossroads where the last honest law man and a pair of brothers with nothing to live for except family collide."

Hell or High Water is set to hit theaters on August 19th.
