The New 'A Monster Calls' Trailer Is Breathtaking Movie Magic

Focus Features earlier today released the amazing new trailer for director J.A. Bayona's A Monster Calls which looks absolutely amazing! The new fantastical film is based on the award-winning children's novel and follows a 12-year old Conor (Lewis Macdougall) as he deals with his mother's illness played by Felicity Jones. The boy at some point comes across a cool tree monster played by Liam Neeson, who helps the boy with coming to terms with his fear of losing his mother, fighting off bullies at school.

This film looks incredible and if you haven't seen the director's stand out film The Impossible, I highly recommend it. For now check out the trailer below and sound off in the comments section with your thoughts below.

A Monster Calls is set to hit theaters on October 21st.
