The Villains For 'The Final Wolverine' Film Have Been Revealed

By Matt O.

With the cast of Hugh Jackman's final appearance as Wolverine having steadily been growing over the past few months and production currently underway in New Orleans, it was only a matter of time before we started to here some rumblings about who the villains in the The Final Wolverine film would be.

Now according to Nerdist we now know Wolverine will facing off against The Reavers!

That's right! The Reavers, a team of criminal cyborgs, which were dedicated to the destruction of the X-Men, and many of them especially always wanted revenge on one particular X-Man, Wolverine.

The team has many times also been home to popular Wolverine related characters like Lady Deathstrike and Skullbuster. Nerdist also claims a source close to the production confirms that the Reavers will battle Wolverine in the film and that they are led by Donald Pierce who is a half-robts who built the Reavers to wipe out the Mutants. Actor Richard E. Grant is rumored to play that role.

We also know that actor Boyd Holbrook's character will be an original villain, who I personally don't believe will be a mutant. Holbrook's character is described as "relentless, calcuting.....intense head of security for a global enterprise". With many speculating this enterprise could be the Hellfire Club. In case you have forgotten Kevin Bacon's Sebastian Shaw was the leader of Hellfire Club in X-Men: First Class.

Nerdist also reveals that the Essex Corp. is involved in some way during the film which could lead to us seeing Nathaniel Sinister aka Mister Sinister in the film. (Long Shot)

Also of note, the site does confirm that there are a lot of talks and rumblings with regard to actor Liev Schreiber's Sabretooth returning for a possible cameo or more! Stay Tuned for more updates on The Final Wolverine. Plus there has been a long-time rumor that Ryan Reynolds' Deadpool will make an appearance as well (probably just a cameo).

The Final Wolverine is set to hit theaters on March 3rd, 2017.
