By Aric Sweeny

What's up MCU fans?

In a recent interview with The Wrap, The Avengers franchise director Joss Whedon commented on his possible return to helming a female-driven Avengers story in the Marvel cinematic universe, saying:

"Yeah, of course. Although I tend more towards the Jessica Jones-ey kind of stories than the delightful Supergirl stories that my daughter wants."

Although Whedon won't be in anyway involved in the film, he is very excited about finally seeing a female MCU character get the their own film, and also gave his opinion on the upcoming Captain Marvel film, saying:

"Kevin Feige fought a mighty fight to get her on the schedule. So it’s a start. You could say that should be a middle, but it’s a start."

The guy still sounds like the Joss Whedon we have all come to know, very excited to see what kind of projects he lines up in the future, MCU films or not.

So what about you MCU fans, do you have any specific female characters that you'd like Whedon to direct a film about? Drop a comment down below and let us know!
