My prediction: Based on the end of “Age of Extinction”, I’m guessing that this film will follow Optimus Prime and his journey to find his creators, who, based on the original animated series, are called the Quintessons. If the movies are going to follow the same story as the original cartoon, we’re likely to see Optimus die in this upcoming film with Rodimus Prime becoming head of the Autobots.

The sequel will see the return of star Mark Wahlberg returning from Age of Extinction, along Isabela Moner as the new female lead Izabella, and Jerrod Carmichael in an unspecified leading role.

Michael Bay is returning to direct, and the film will be written by Iron Man screenwriters Art Marcum & Matt Holloway and Ken Nolan. Lorenzo di Bonaventura, Don Murphy and Tom DeSanto will produce.

All Transformers social media accounts have all updated their pictures to display the logo for Transformers 5’s new title.

Transformers: The Last Knight is set to hit theaters on June 23, 2017.
