Kurt Russell Officially Wraps On 'Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2'

Even though production on director James Gunn's highly anticipated sequel Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 still has a ways to go, one legendary actor has officially wrapped his principal photography.

Earlier today James Gunn took to his social media accounts to make the announcement and he also praised and gave thanks to the actor for his dedication and quality work. James Gunn also said this via his Facebook:

"It’s not often your heroes are as awesome in person as you believed they were as a kid. A wonderful guy and incredible actor in every way. And he was nice to my Mom, Dad, and dog. I couldn’t ask for anything more."

The sequel is set to star Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, Michael Rooker, Karen Gillan, Sean Gunn, Pom Klementieff, Elizabeth Debicki, Chris Sullivan and Kurt Russell.

Here's the official synopsis:

"Set to the all-new sonic backdrop of Awesome Mixtape #2, “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2” continues the team’s adventures as they unravel the mystery of Peter Quill’s true parentage."

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is set to hit theaters on May 5th, 2017.
