'Mission: Impossible 6' To Begin Filming This Fall

By Matt O'Bryant

While we had already had reports of Tom Cruise returning to his beloved franchise, and Mission: Impossible Rogue Nation and writer/director Christopher McQuarrie returning once again to direct, but now its official!

Yesterday during a Cinemacon panel for the Jack Reacher sequel, Jack Reacher: Never Go Back, Cruise revealed to the crowd via a taped message that Mission: Impossible 6 would begin filming this Fall with a release date set for sometime in 2017. While Cruise mostly talked about Jack Reacher, he did reveal that McQuarrie has written a "very entertaining and compelling story" that will include tons of "big new stunts" for Cruise to take on. Along with Cruise and McQuarrie confirmed to return, it has also been announced that break out star from MI5, Rebecca Ferguson will also return.

No announcement has been made, but I would expect series mainstays like Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg, and Jeremy Renner to all return in some form. Check back here at EastCoastMovieGuys for more details on MI6 as they become available. Are you excited for another Mission: Impossible film? I know, I am! Watching Tom Cruise do all of his on insane stunts, like strapping himself to the side of a air bus plane in the last film or scaling the side of the tallest building in MI4, is simply mesmerizing and nuts! Sound off in the comments with your thoughts and lets us know.
