'Bad Boys 3' Sets A New 2017 Release Date

"We ride together, we die together, Bad Boys for life!"

Bad Boys 3 is finally starting to pick up a little bit of steam. With Will Smith recently revealing there have been some behind-the-scenes talks with him and Martin Lawrence. Plus the fact that Joe Carnahan seems to be officially signed on to helm the sequel, things are finally starting to fall into place.

Last summer, Sony officially scheduled Bad Boys 3 for a February 17th, 2017 release, and a Bad Boys 4 July 3rd, 2019 release date. As of late yesterday afternoon it appears the project must be moving along rather well, in its pre-production stages. Because Sony just revealed that they are moving Bad Boys 3 from its lackluster February 17th, 2017 release date, to a new prime June 2nd, 2017 release date.

While the landscape of release dates are beginning to change for Hollywood, see Deadpool's success for example. It still bodes well for a big action blockbuster to open in June, rather than in the historically dumping ground season that is January and February.
