New 'X-Men: Apocalypse' Image Finally Reveals "Some" Classic Costumes

By Matt O'Bryant

While, its not much, it is pretty awesome for any mega fan of the X-Men who have always dreamed of seeing something close to the classic versions of their comic book uniforms on the big screen.

While its not highlighted here, which is most likely on purpose, if you look closely at the new Empire Magazine image from X-Men: Apocalypse you can see some classic colors and uniforms. Most Notably is Mystique and Nightcrawler. The new image gets me so geeked out, at the thought of us finally seeing the X-Men with there classic comic book style uniforms! I can't wait!

Also as I've said before, I've heard from a couple of sources that some of the scenes we have seen in the trailer are cut really well, back and forth from the movie with scenes of the X-Men training in the Danger Room and the eventual Apocalypse battle, which means we haven't seen anything yet!

Love how they are just slowly revealing the "true colors" of this film. Check out the image below and sound off in the comments with your thoughts.

"Since the dawn of civilization, he was worshipped as a god. Apocalypse, the first and most powerful mutant from Marvel’s X-Men universe, amassed the powers of many other mutants, becoming immortal and invincible. Upon awakening after thousands of years, he is disillusioned with the world as he finds it and recruits a team of powerful mutants, including a disheartened Magneto (Michael Fassbender), to cleanse mankind and create a new world order, over which he will reign. As the fate of the Earth hangs in the balance, Raven (Jennifer Lawrence) with the help of Professor X (James McAvoy) must lead a team of young X-Men to stop their greatest nemesis and save mankind from complete destruction."

X-Men: Apocalypse hits theaters on May 27th.
