The Official New 'X-Men: Apocalypse' Trailer Has Been Unveiled In All Its Glory

By Matt O'Bryant

20th Century Fox has finally released the epic second trailer for X-Men: Apocalypse we have all been waiting for! The trailer reveals more story details, but still keeps the overall story under wraps.

I know we are a week away from Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice and a little over a month from Captain America: Civil War and of course I'm super excited for those two films. For me however the X-Men films, have always been my favorite superhero films. Even though the timelines are all messed up (which they are trying to fix) and there have been some major miss steps with a couple of the X-Men film entrees I've always loved how these films just have a bit more of an emotional pull for me, and greater more down to earth character development.

The stakes are just higher, and you just never know who's gonna die in one of Bryan Singers, or Matthew Vaughn's X-Men films. That's why after seeing this new trailer I'm gonna have to say, I almost gurantee u in my opinion, I'll end up liking this film more than BVS or Civil War. I'll probably still love them all, just this one a little more. Anyways check out the amazing new trailer below and sound off in the comments with your thoughts. Let us know how excited you are for X-Men: Apocalypse.

Since the dawn of civilization, he was worshiped as a god. Apocalypse, the first and most powerful mutant from Marvel’s X-Men universe, amassed the powers of many other mutants, becoming immortal and invincible. Upon awakening after thousands of years, he is disillusioned with the world as he finds it and recruits a team of powerful mutants, including a disheartened Magneto (Michael Fassbender), to cleanse mankind and create a new world order, over which he will reign. As the fate of the Earth hangs in the balance, Raven (Jennifer Lawrence) with the help of Professor X (James McAvoy) must lead a team of young X-Men to stop their greatest nemesis and save mankind from complete destruction.

X-Men: Apocalypse hits theaters on May 27th.
