Liev Schreiber Confirms Talks About Reprising Sabretooth Role

By Matt O'Bryant

Over the past few weeks we've heard a lot of talk about Hugh Jackman's Final Wolverine outing, which is currently slated to hit theaters in 2017. While there has been a lot a talk about the highly anticipated film, especially concerning the film being R-rated and adapting the famous Old Man Logan story-line to the big-screen. One topic that hasn't really been addressed until now, was whether or not Liev Schreiber will be reprising his role as Victor Creed aka Sabretooth. As many of you may remember Schreiber's portrayal of Sabretooth in the first Wolverine film was, arguably the best part of the film.

Last night during an interview with MTV, Schreiber revealed that he has indeed had talks with the studio about reprising the role.

"We talked about it. I don’t know. He’s mentioned it to me. The Old Man Logan story — that’s appealing. That’s something that I can do. Old, being the operative word."

While this obviously doesn't confirm anything. It is interesting, to say the least, and hopefully Schreiber does end up reprising his role as Sabretooth. It would be very fitting for him to return for Jackman's last outing. Hopefully we have something confirmed in the near future.

Let us know what you think? Do you want to see Schreiber back? If not, who would you want to see play Sabretooth?

The Final Wolverine hits theaters on March 3rd, 2017.
