'Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2' First Look Coming Soon!

The sooner, the better!

While there have been a ton of rumors spreading through the interwebs earlier in the week about Marvel Studio's highly anticipated sequel Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol 2, they've been officially debunked by the always super cool director James Gunn. Now we're getting word through the grape vine, that we could be getting some pretty interesting reveals about the upcoming sequel within the next few weeks.

A couple of our sources have pointed to New York Comic-Con this weekend to be kind of the jumping off point for the beginning of the marketing campaign for Marvel Studios. While nothing is confirmed to drop this weekend for the film, we have reached out to Marvel, who to no ones surprise, had no comment.

While James Gunn has notoriously shut down fans for asking him when a trailer will be released. Truth be told, the guy probably has little to no control over when the marketing campaign begins for a property that is as big as Guardians 2. That being said, a man who does know for sure is President of Marvel Studios, Kevin Feige.

Following the Marvel Panel at this summer's San Diego Comic-Con, Collider spoke with Kevin Feige and asked him when we might see the trailer and he said we should see the first trailer in the next few months, specifically when the next Marvel film hits theaters. Also to note, Marvel usually drops the first teaser trailers for their films about six months out from their release dates. So obviously, November and December are prime real estate for the first full trailer.  By some weird chance, we have two huge Disney properties hitting theaters within a few weeks of each other Doctor Strange and Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.

Our sources haven't said anything about a full trailer, but have said for sure, that the marketing campaign is about to begin. Hinting and suggesting that we will begin seeing Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol 2 promotional materials as soon as this weekend via New York Comic-Con or at least within the next few weeks.

As always take this type of information with a huge grain of salt. In this business folks, nothing is guaranteed. So what do you guys think? Will we see anything new from Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol 2 this weekend? Sound off in the comments section below with your thoughts.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Vin Diesel, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper, Karen Gillan, Michael Rooker, Pom Klementieff as Mantis, Elizabeth Debicki as Ayesha and Kurt Russell as Ego, the living planet aka Star-Lord’s dad.

Here’s the official synopsis for Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 2:
