Awe-Inspiring Award Winning New Star Wars Short Film 'TK-436: A Stormtrooper Story' Released

Winner of the 2016 Filmmaker Select Award at Star Wars Celebration Europe. The incredible Star Wars Short Film TK-436: A Stormtrooper Story is directed by up-and-coming filmmakers Samtubia & Samgoma Edwards, who wanted to explore a realistic side of the "Star Wars" that we have seldom seen within the Star Wars universe.

The film was given the top honor by a panel of judges that included Rogue One: A Star Wars Story's director Gareth Edwards, executive producer John Knoll of Industrial Light & Magic, and co-producer John Swartz.

"UnBoxed Films presents, TK-436: A Stormtrooper Story, the gritty tale of a loyal Imperial Stormtrooper who is forced to confront his past in the heat of an epic battle. Directors Samtubia & Samgoma Edwards imagined it from a perspective that is seldom explored within the Star Wars universe."

FUN FACTS ABOUT TK-436: A Stormtrooper Story
1.) All of the Stormtrooper costumes were made using EVA foam, athletic mats, and pepakura patterns.
2.) The stormtrooper costumes were purposely made to look bulky and damaged in order to give the stormtroopers a more intimidating appearance.
3.) The short film took approximately 7 months to complete.
4.) In the film TK-436 supposedly has a beta model Helmet, complete with functional cheek filters (inspired by the First Order helmets) and advanced HUD capabilities.
