'The Wolverine 3'!! Patrick Stewart Confirmed To Reprise Professor X Role!!

By Matt O'Bryant

What's up guys and gals,

Now this is some damn good movie news for anyone who has been a fan of Patrick Stewart's Professor X since we first saw him in the first X-Men movie way back in the year 2000.  We also get a better idea of what our chances are of actually seeing an Old Man Logan story arc for The Wolverine 3.

Straight from an awesome interview our friends from Collider had with Professor X himself Patrick Stewart:

Check it out below:

Here’s what Stewart told Steve when he asked if the rumors about his involvement and the Old Man Logan story are true:

I think what you say is true. There is a project in development. I understand that Professor Xavier will be making more than an appearance, however, and that intrigues me.
— Patrick Stewart

He also specifically addressed the Old Man Logan arc by joking:

And the idea of an old Wolverine – I’m really looking forward to Hugh Jackman getting old. You know, damn him. He looks so great! So I’m hoping to see him covered in prosthetics, you know? And then he’ll make me look better if that’s the case.”
— Patrick Stewart

When Blunt Talk writer/executive producer Jonathan Ames noted that he thought Wolverine doesn’t age, Stewart explained:

He’s not supposed to. Unfortunately, actors do and so I think Hugh maybe has begun to get a little uncomfortable, and I know how that feels.
— Patrick Stewart

Wow, such incredible news!  I was fully prepared to never see Patrick Stewart's Professor X on the big screen again.  The upcoming final chapter in Hugh Jackman's Wolverine series is shaping up to be a beast.  2017 is gonna be one hell of a send off for Wolverine we all know and love!

WOLVERINE 3  is currently slated to hit theaters in 2017.
