'Deadpool' Director Tim Miller Wants Cable In Upcoming Sequel/X-Men Films!!

By Matt O'Bryant

What's up guys and gals,

Could we finally get to see one of our favorite X-Men characters come to life on the big screen?  Cable is one of the most popular X-Men ever and serves as a leader of the X-Men at certain points, and has been a pivotal part of many different X-Men story arcs over the years, but somehow we have never seen him on the big screen.  Well all that might change with the impending success of Tim Miller's Deadpool film.

Since they’ve already tackled time travel and Apocalypse is looking to finally have an outing in next year’s X-Men: Apocalypse, how long will it be before the one-eyed, cybernetic-limbed, gun-toting 90’s bad boy get his turn? Deadpool’s director Tim Miller implies not too long.

In an interview with Empire, Miller talks about the trailer breakdown and when discussing characters that were almost included (Garrison Kane and Cannonball), he mentions that Cable shouldn’t be too far behind.

”There aren’t really many definitive Deadpool villains, apart from Cable. If we don’t put Cable in Deadpool 2 I think we’ll be run out of town on a rail.”

Cable and Deadpool have a sort of best of enemies, worst of friends sort of relationship. Both were spawned out of New Mutants/X-Force and Marvel actually published a Cable and Deadpool comic a few years ago. Maybe if Deadpool’s sequel is greenlit, their relationship can be explored from some samplings of that comic.
