Marvel Eyeing Kurt Russell For Star-lord's Father In 'Guardians Of The Galaxy 2'

By Matt O'Bryant

It Looks like this is definitely the year of Kurt Russell's return to "badassdom"!  First he had the stand out role in this year's mega hit Furious 7.  Then he starred in one of the best genre westerns ever Bone Tomahawk, which not enough people have seen. And lets not forget about that little film called The Hateful Eight being directed by none other than Quentin Tarantino set to hit theaters on Christmas Day, which Russell is also the star of.

So if you're Kurt Russell this year just keeps getting better and better, when earlier today reports began to leak out that Marvel Studios is in talks with Russell to play the part "whoever it may be" of Star-lord's father.  Which sounds like a perfect match if you think about it. Take Chris Pratt's style of acting mixed with his unique brand of humor. Kurt Russell is a perfect match to play his dad when you think about his turns earlier in his career in cult classic like The Thing, Big Trouble in little China, and Escape from New York.  It all just sounds to perfect.

Get the details from The Wrap below:
