Marvel's 'Iron Fist' Netflix Series Official Synopsis & Showrunner Revealed

While we are still awaiting a casting decision for Iron Fist himself, it appears things are moving along quite well over at Marvel Netflix.  We finally have our first official synopsis for the upcoming series and series' showrunner has been revealed. Get the details from Heroichollywood below.

Iron Fist - the upcoming Marvel Netflix show about martial artist Danny Rand. I reached out to my colleague Jim, the Editor in Chief of Jim has solid sourcing over on the Netflix side of Marvel and I asked him to confirm. He did. Scott Buck is now confirmed, and here we are. BOOM! Scott Buck is a solid choice who has writing credits on HBO's Six Feet UnderRome,Showtime's DexterEverybody Love RaymondCoach, and The Oblongs.

Scott Buck is also a friend of Melissa Rosenberg, the showrunner of Jessica Jones - the other Marvel show currently airing on Netflix. I'm sure she put in a good word for him.

Through concentration, Iron Fist aka Danny Rand can harness his spiritual energy, or chi, to augment his physical and mental capabilities to peak human levels."

Official Synopsis:

IRON FIST will arrive on Netflix sometime 2017.
