By Matt O'Bryant

Hello and welcome back everyone,

Casting news continues to spill out about Fox's upcoming X-Men: Apocalypse!  Director Bryan Singer used his Instagram account late last night to announce that the young up and coming actor Kodi Smit-McPhee had been cast as a young Kurt Wagner aka NightCrawler in his new epic comic book film X-Men:  Apcalypse!!  Who was last portrayed by Alan Cumming in 2003's X2: X-Men United.  This comes just a couple of weeks after the director announced the casting of the young Jean Grey, Storm, and Cyclops, which will be played by actors Tye Sheridan, Sophie Turner, and Alexandra Shipp,

Kodi Smit-McPhee was most recently on the big screen in Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes and has showed off his acting chops even at a very young age in his earlier films The Road and Let Me In.

The cast to Apocalypse is getting enormous, and could end up rivaling that of the time traveling epic X-Men Days of Futures Past.

In the comics Nightcrawler has been a lot of times the moral compass of the X-Men, he is often portrayed as a very deep and complex character dealing with a lot of issues of his past and his inner struggles to be accepted in the world he lives in.

Check out below one of the best action scenes from the entire X-Men Saga which features none other than NightCrawler kicking Ass in The White House, in the opening scene of X2: X-Men United.

X-Men: Apocalypse is said to be the conclusion to this trilogy that started with X-Men: First Class and continued with X-Men: Days of Future Past.

X-Men: Apocalypse is set for release May 27th 2016
